Trimble to Distribute Trestima’s Innovative Mobile Forest Measurement Solutions to Customers Worldwide
Trimble (NASDAQ: TRMB) and Trestima Ltd. announced today that Trimble will distribute Trestima's forest inventory and log stack mobile measurement tools worldwide. Partnering enables Trimble and Trestima to better serve global forest industry requirements for mobile digital measurement applications that improve forestry business processes and accuracy.
TRESTIMA™ forest inventory system is an innovative tool for the accurate and efficient measurement of standing timber. TRESTIMA Stack is used for measuring the volume of a log stack. Both applications use images taken from smartphones or tablet devices as well as TRESTIMA's cloud-based analysis algorithms to calculate accurate measurements. The Trestima mobile tools will complement Trimble's Connected Forest solutions, which manage the full raw materials lifecycle of planning, planting, growing, harvesting and transport.
